The Opportunity

The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. As we continue to accelerate the development program, and expand the aircraft flight envelope through the test program, we are seeking the very best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds to help grow and contribute to our innovative team.

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Security Engineer based in Brisbane, Queensland to support this exciting opportunity.

Relocation costs may be covered for successful applicants.

Responsibilities

As a Principal Product Security Engineer with MQ-28, you will:


  • Lead cyber and systems security engineering of products and non-IT networks
  • Perform threat and risk assessment as part of a cyber-maturation process that establishes threat surfaces and mitigations to maximize resiliency and minimize vulnerability
  • Lead development of system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements.
  • Ensures security of equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product.
  • Leads coordination with stakeholders to identify risks and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements for programs and interfacing systems.
  • Leads the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle
  • Evaluates remediation recommendations & develops cost mitigation estimates.
  • Implements appropriate security controls and requirements per ISM
  • Provide inputs for planning, scheduling, and Risk, Issues, Opportunity activities for cyber security


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)


  • Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline, RPEQ or equivalent Chartered Status desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying relevant engineering practices, standards and regulations (throughout engineering development lifecycle)
  • Experience in Accreditation and Certification of systems within Defence.
  • Industry recognised information security qualification such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM or similar are desirable
  • Defence industry and/or Government security experience.
  • Extensive Experience with Defence Industry Standards. (e.g. ISM, PSPF, DSPF, NIST, ACSI)
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence Security Requirements
  • Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a multi-discipline team.
